📢 OCSD is committed to keeping your students safe.

In celebration of National Night Out we'd like to share our Standard Response Protocol (SRP)! Stop by our booth and test your knowledge tonight!

We use the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) districtwide so that in any emergency, students and staff know exactly what to do.

This graphic shows the five key actions everyone on campus is trained to follow:
🔒 Hold – Stay in place, clear the halls
🚪 Secure – Lock outside doors
🚨 Lockdown – Locks, lights, out of sight
🚶‍♂️ Evacuate – Move to a safe location
⚠️ Shelter – Use safety strategies for hazards like weather or chemical spills
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Reunification – A safe, organized process to reunite students with families after an emergency

We’re sharing this information to help students and families feel safe and confident in any situation. These six clear, consistent directives help students, staff, and first responders respond in an emergency.

By sharing this plan with our parents and community, we’re working to build trust, promote transparency, and create a stronger, safer school environment for every student.

First City Celebration! Downtown Oregon City 11 am- 6 pm July 26. Come and see us!
Our annual ParentVue verification is now open for the 25-26 school year! Each year we ask families to verify that the information listed within ParentVue is correct and up to date. This is important for many reasons, but a large one is to ensure correct emergency contact information. Please take a moment to do this for your student(s)!

This summer, our elementary school is excited to offer summer family field trips that bring learning beyond the classroom walls.

Lunch and transportation are offered, and each field trip will have a maximum number of registrants. Once you have registered, we will send you more information!

Don't miss this chance to turn summer learning into a family adventure! Space is limited for each trip, so be sure to sign up early when registration opens.

Each field trip is carefully planned with age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity and learning through play. From interactive museum exhibits to nature centers and cultural sites, families will have the chance to connect with other school families, strengthen community bonds, and give their children rich experiences that complement classroom learning.

These family-friendly excursions are open to all of our school's families, creating opportunities for students to meet and learn alongside each other while parents connect and build relationships within our broader school community.

Upcoming Field Trips! Philip Foster Farm - July 11 OMSI - July 18 The Oregon Garden - July 25 Oregon Zoo - August 1 Gilbert House - August 8 Register Here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSezU5evHQAJTuPE9fZ3CBCb1rktkL4A3gNjP-IWwxjXeYQV2g/viewform
